FAQs - Kids Training Program - Parents

lightpink_runners.jpgCan I register for a program even if our family can’t make a running event?
Yes, the training programs are available "a la carte" any time for your use.  We want to give you tools to help you whenever you are ready.

How do I change the training programs if the ages of my kids vary?
First, think about the types of activities your kids do now.  If older children are able to do more than their younger sibling, drop the minutes or steps they will take.  You can always slow down or back off on the distance.  Try a shorter distance for a day and ask your child if it is hard or easy, and change accordingly.  Remember, you can always walk and build up to running too.

How do I find out about scholarships to register for an event?
Click on the box on the Event Participant Registration Form when you sign up.  We take care of the rest.

Is there a plan for bad weather for the May 17th event?
We will hold the event rain or shine. In the event severe weather develops prior to the event, tune to 100.3 KTLK, for up to date information or go to our website, mtcmarathon.org for up to date information.  If severe weather develops during the event, you will receive instructions to seek shelter from event officials.
